Business Background

The Team aims to create a tool that streamlines the identification of trucks sharing common fuel tanks based on a chassis search. Currently, many fuel tanks are scrapped due to scratches, even when these imperfections could be concealed by chassis fairings.

The proposed tool will allow users to:

• Search by chassis number to identify associated fuel tanks.
• Highlight these fuel tanks and find the next three trucks in sequence with the same tanks.
• Confirm that these trucks have matching left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) fairings that cover the fuel tanks.

This solution will help repurpose scratched fuel tanks by matching them to trucks where the fairings hide the damage, reducing waste and saving costs.
